    Placement of the Device

    The very first step to fix Netgear router issues is its placement. You have to make sure that after unboxing, you have placed the device at the middle of your house. Also, try placing the device away from Bluetooth devices and interference-creating WiFi devices.

    Continuous Power Supply Is Must

    The second step to fix the issue is to provide your router a fluctuation-free and continuous power supply. For this, you have to ensure that the device is plugged in properly into a damaged-free socket.

    Are the LED Lights Visible?

    This would be the main issue that need not to be ignored. Some users don’t pay attention towards the LEDs on the device. If your Netgear Nighthawk router is connected and you are not receiving the desired internet speed, then have a look at the LEDs of the device. Are they stable? If not, then turn off the router, wait for a few minutes and turn it back on again. The LEDs might take a couple of minutes to become stable.

    Is the Connection Successful?

    • Plug the device into a working wall outlet.
    • Make sure that the LEDs on your Netgear Nighthawk router are stable.
    • Then, locate the reset hole on your Nighthawk router.
    • After that, grab a paper clip, pin, or any thin object.
    • Insert the object into the reset hole of your router and hold it for a moment.
    • The power LED will blink. This indicates that your router has successfully been reset.

    Set up the Negear Nighthawk Router

    Note: During the Netgear router setup process, all the LEDs on it must be stable.

    • Grab an Ethernet cable and connect your router to the existing modem.
    • Then, turn on a PC, laptop, tablet, iPhone, or iPad and launch an internet browser on it.
    • Once the browser loads up successfully, head towards its address bar and type routerlogin.net.
    • Hit the Enter key or click on OK.
    • www.routerlogin.net login page opens up on the screen.
    • Enter the default admin details. In case you have changed the details, then use them instead. Oops! Forgot the admin credentials? Don’t worry as the reset process will work out to fix the issue.
    • Afterward, Netgear router login screen will appear.
    • Follow the instructions and complete the Netgear Nighthawk setup process.
