These days a lot of people are seen complaining of hair fall. It has become a very common health issue. The main causes of excessive hair loss are bad eating habits, a sedentary lifestyle, less curricular activity. With an increase in ease of doing day-to-day chores, people pay less attention to exercise. The outcome has deteriorated health. In modern times people rely more on factory-made products. Natural commodities have been sidelined to an extent that they are losing their identity. Only if we learn to adapt to the natural lifestyle we can retain its longevity. And the same applies to hair. If we switch to ayurvedic hair oils rather than chemical-based products the color, length, and strength can be revived again. Here are some uses of ayurvedic hair oil for baldness:

    • Bhringraj oil:

Its scientific name is Ecliptaalba belongs to the Compositae family. It contains eclipsing and wedelolactone as chemical components. It helps to strengthen hair from roots. Hair follicles are nourished well by its application. It also helps to stop premature greying of hair. Studies have shown that it is more potent than minoxidil. Alopecia can be cured with regular use.

    • Amla oil:

Its scientific name is EmblicaOfficinalis and belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae. It’s also called Indian gooseberry. It’s a rich source of vitamin C which is good for the skin. It also contains calcium, phosphorus in small quantities. Amla since ancient times has been used in hair oils as a key ingredient since it nourishes hair. Due to its antimicrobial and antifungal properties, it keeps the scalp in good condition which in turn helps to prevent hair fall. It contains gallic acid, tannic acid, cellulose as chemical components. It is also used as a carrier oil sometimes.

    • Coconut oil:

Its scientific name is Cocosnucifera and belongs to the family Palmae. It is widely grown in the southern regions of India. The oil contains palmitic, citric, boric acid in high quantities. It shows great results when applied to hair. It can also be mixed with other oils like castor oil, mustard oil, bhringraj oil, etc. It is mainly used in the winter season because of its hot potency. It helps to nourish hair follicles thus preventing any hair fall. It also prevents dryness of the scalp and reduces dandruff. If mixed with herbs it also prevents premature greying of hair.

    • Hirudinea (jonk) oil:

There are two types of leeches one is poisonous and the other is non-poisonous. Non-poisonous leeches have different uses. They help to remove impure blood from the body, cure long-term wounds, remove scars from the skin, etc. Its characteristic feature is that it helps in blood circulation. Similar are the uses of jonk oil. It helps in enhancing the blood circulation in hair follicles. Therefore shedding of hair is reduced. Greying of hair also stops when adequate blood reaches hair roots.

Natural ingredients make ayurvedic hair oils a success. They have been relied upon for ages. Ayurvedic herbal hair oil hold great importance in Indian society. They have shown mind-blowing results in dealing with hair problems as always.
