    How should you prepare for an MRI ?

    If you are ill with some disease, doctors may suggest you have an MRI to accurately diagnose your body’s medical condition. Don’t worry. Once you find the reason for the effects of your disease, you can easily start with the treatment. MRI is one of the accurate and best diagnosis methods in the medical field. This magnetic resonance imaging is completely painless and helps you achieve the actual reason behind your disease. With the reflected magnetic field and X-rays, you can accurately determine the ratio of disease spread in your body. And with this result, you may start the treatment immediately without any delay. Generally, with the MRI scan, you will never face an error of assumption. Because in case of confusion, the doctors may use the special colour dyes, monitor the visual, and come out with actual treatment.

If not a hospital gown, you must wear clothes without zipping, fasteners, buttons, underwear, belts for buckles. 

    After all these basic procedures, you are good to go for an MRI scan. Even though an MRI scan is a completely painless procedure. So anaesthesia is not needed. But if you are a patient with claustrophobic or anxiety symptoms, you may prefer mild anaesthesia or sedatives. Before intaking sedatives, you have to arrange for a friend or family member to handle you back home.

    Bottom line:

    A MRI scan is usually an outpatient procedure, so you need not stay in the hospital.
