Well, marble is mainly composed of calcium carbonate. It is highly sensitive to acidic solutions. For this reason, lemon, vinegar, and any other acidic solution can damage the surface. To maintain their plush look, always buy the cleaning products wisely.

    Remember, general cleaning is so simple for marble countertops.  Again this is another primary reason behind its popularity. Anyhow, never use the acid product over marble. For instance, avoid using lemon and vinegar. However, you can also buy some non-abrasive cleaners. Never forget to read the instructions before using the product. If you are not ready to apply the professional cleaners, you can also use DIY mixtures, for instance, mixing a little soap with water.     Step 1

    If you are not ready to use marble cleaner from stores, you can probably use a dish wash liquid. To prepare a solution, take a few drops of a mild dish wash. Mix the soap with the water. Now, add the solution to the spray bottle. Well, never apply the solution in a high amount. Gently scrub the surface. Also,  wipe the marble with the help of a soft cloth. Well, keep repeating until all the soap is gone. 

    Step 2

    Now dry the countertops. After drying buff, the marble countertops with the help of a soft absorbent towel.

    Removing stains from white marble countertops

    Probably, cleaning the stains from marble countertops is not an easy task. To clean the stains, first of all, you need to know their type. After a complete analysis, apply the stain cleaner; most often, stain cleaners form a thick paste. Furthermore, to have a perfect stain cleaner, try to know the proper recommendations. Well, keep in mind that addressing the stain immediately will help you get rid of permanent stains. So, be careful regarding the stains. 

    While cleaning the stains, never mix two different chemicals or cleaners. Because they can prove toxic, before applying the cleanser to marble, try to use it first on the small area to test it. In all such cases, make sure that the surface is not damaged. Moreover, to apply the cleaner, use proper personal protective equipment. For instance, gloves poor eyewear. Lastly, make sure you are working in a good ventilated area.

    • 20 per cent hydrogen peroxide solution

    • Lacquer thinner

    • Razorblade
    •  Sponge
    • Gloves
    •  Protective eyewear
    •  Flour
    • Pre-mixed commercial poultice
    1. Oil stains 

    Marble countertops are exposed to oils and grease stains daily. For instance, cooking oil, milk, and makeup. No doubt they will darken the countertop color. Therefore, they need some chemicals to treat them well, clean the surface gently. Also, you can use the soft liquid cleanser using bleach and ammonia. However, you can use acetone and mineral oil for this purpose too.

    1. Organic stains

    No doubt coffee is a routine drink. So, coffee, wine, fruits, and other organic food stains need some attention. They will get serious if not removed properly. Well, they usually have a pinkish-brown appearance. Well,  to clean these stains, take 12 per cent hydrogen peroxide and prepare a solution with ammonia. Apply the solution on stains. Let it stay for a few minutes. Clean the surface by wiping with a soft, gentle cloth. 

    1. Biological stains 

    Well, marble is fantastic countertop material. No doubt it is also exposed to mildews as well as other biological stains. However, removing these stains is easy.
