It is impossible that you don’t have a sauce that can stimulate the release of saliva in your mouth just by its name or watching it in front of you. Mostly these mouth-watering sauces are some sort of hot sauces. The first thing to haunt your brain upon reading the word hot sauce is probably a chili-flavored sauce.

Hot sauce is a common term used in sauces for those which contain the taste of chilies. But there is not a specific sauce that we can call a hot sauce. Some sauces are so tasty that they could leave a long-lasting impact on your tongue and brain. This impact makes you remember the taste of that sauce just by listening to its name.

From BBQ sauce to pizza sauce, certain types of hot sauces are present. Following are some common style hot sauces and tips to use them.

    1. Cajun pepper hot sauce

This is one of the iconic hot sauces. This sauce is considered as the first image that comes to your mind listening to hit the sauce. This thin, vinegar-containing, red chili sauce is a perfect match for almost every fast food.

This sauce can also be used as a marinade other than acting as a dipping sauce. It is believed that wherever red chilies are grown, this sauce is also made. While using it make sure that you are not taking it with something that already contains vinegar as this sauce also contains it in high quantities and can result in acidity.

    2. Mexican Hot Sauce

There is a lot of variety in Mexican hot sauces. But it is difficult to specify any one of them. But there are some things common among them. These contain less vinegar than many other sauces. This makes them less tangy and prominent in the taste of chilies.

You can use different brands of this sauce like Cholula, Tapatio, and Valentina. But the similarity in taste makes it easy to interchange them.

    3. Chili Garlic Sauce

Chili garlic sauce is one of the famous names among hot sauces. No one can neglect the fame earned by this sauce. This sauce mostly comes in mixed form with tomato ketchup. And it’s spicier than many other sauces in this form. Try to use it in a low amount as it can burn your mouth. You can use it with every fast food and traditional food.

    4. Green Pepper Sauce

Green chili is one of the hottest forms of chilies. This gives the iconic green color to this sauce and makes it hit as well. This sauce is relatively less hot than other hot sauces. It gives a vegetable flavor and a less sweet taste. It is mostly used with traditional dishes.

Traditional fast foods of certain places and some fries are also served with this sauce.

    5. Sriracha

This sauce has a bright red color like the flame of a dragon and has its origin in Thailand. Saowanit Trinity Anukul was the person whose grandmother was the first one to make and sell this sauce. Its thicker viscosity and red color can feel as ketchup, but a hot taste makes it totally different.

It also contains garlic in a fermented form to enhance its taste. Rooster sauce is the most famous brand for this sauce.

    6. Sumbal Oelec

This Indonesia-based sauce is one of the hottest sauces in the world. It is mostly used in the place of fresh chilies during cooking. It can add hotness to any dish you are cooking.

    7. Buffalo Sauce

Buffalo sauce is a combination of some ready-made sauce with some fat like butter. It gives a hotter taste and creamy texture. Many people can eat it directly without using it in any recipe.

    8. Harissa

A combination of red chilies and spices like cumin and coriander, this sauce is an iconic sauce for the cuisine in South Africa. Roasted chilies and olive oil can give a smoky taste to it. You can use it with salad, sandwiches, and any type of fast meat.

Above are some hot sauces and tips to use them. Try to taste them all one by one and never forget to share your experience.
